National Grid collapse has happened 46 times, already. What should you do if it happens, again?
The aberrant joker in the pack is the thought of the stupefying collapse of the ‘national grid’ in Nigeria. It is yet another surreal thing to hear that a country of over 200 million citizens swims in utter blackout for more than 72 hours (in some places, 72 hours can extend to 200 hours).
Though, blackout is not new, what is new is the experience of Nigerians. India had blackout two times and those two didn’t last two days. Pakistan experienced a blackout three times; it did not last days before it was restored. The US and the UK, occasionally had their complete outages, contrastingly, none of them lasted for 72 hours.
It, however, came as another stupefaction when on Thursday, Nigeria’s power supply decided to encroach itself into another murky ambiance, leaving Nigerians to suffer another national grid collapse. Worthy of note, a report by the International Energy Agency stated that Nigeria had exactly 46 national grid collapses from 2017 to 2023 in history. This new collapse will logically make it 47 times, with each lasting for more than 72 hours.

But UM list does not elevate carnality, rather it presents a go-to list of magical activities that can be done when a power outage occurs.
