Saidaboj Stir Nigerian Guys. They Reward Her with all Her Social Media Accounts Blocked

Saidaboj’s argument stems from the belief that beauty is not just a genetic gift but a cultivated asset that requires significant investment of time, effort, and money.

Nigerian social media influencer Saida Boj caused a serious stir on social media lately. For that, all her social media accounts have been reported and now are blocked off the platforms. But she has said she will open another one and many more if blocked, bragging that her stance on what she said stands. So what did she actually say that outrage Nigerian guys?

Saidaboj, whose real name is Sarah Idaji Ojone, had claimed in a recent episode of the Honest Bunch podcast by Nedu that beautiful women should be paid 500,000 naira a month from their boyfriends for the simple fact of being beautiful.

Saidaboj’s argument stems from the belief that beauty is not just a genetic gift but a cultivated asset that requires significant investment of time, effort, and money.

From skincare routines to hair treatments, the maintenance of beauty comes with a price tag that is often overlooked. By suggesting a monthly payment, Boj aims to bring attention to the unrecognized labour that goes into looking beautiful.

Saida Boj also shared that her talking stage doesn’t last more than a day. She emphasized she doesn’t want to waste time in conversation that is not monetarily benefiting. In her words “My talking stage no dey last more than one day. If you talk to me for morning, I dey bill you for the evening”.

All her points made only an ounce of sense when she was reeling them out. After she was through and the video was posted by Nedu things went awry for Saidaboj and Nigerian Guys range was fully activated. As such, all her social media accounts were blocked after reporting them.

While Boj’s stance may seem extreme to some, there is an underlying truth to her argument. Beauty is a valuable asset that takes time, effort and money to cultivate and maintain.

Attractive people, especially women, are often treated better in society and have more opportunities open to them. In a sense, they are already being “paid” for their looks through the privileges and advantages they receive. Modelling.

Moreover, many men already spend large sums of money on their romantic partners, whether it’s on dates, gifts, or trips. Saidaboj’s proposal simply formalizes this arrangement and puts a price tag on beauty. It’s essentially a form of “beauty tax” that men must pay to be with an attractive woman which is not really ideal.

Of course, the idea of a 500,000 naira monthly payment is hyperbolic and unrealistic for most people. But the underlying principle of men compensating their partners for their beauty is not as far-fetched as it may seem. In fact, some would argue that it’s already happening in more subtle ways.

Ultimately, whether or not men should pay their partners for being beautiful is a matter of personal opinion and values.

Some may see it as a form of objectification, while others may view it as a fair exchange. What is clear, however, is that beauty has value in our society, and those who possess it often reap the rewards, whether financial or otherwise.
