Unconventional Nigerian Guy, Ajao Samson Reads for 214 Hours to Set New GWR

In less than one hour, Samson will be hitting his target of 214 hours of longest marathon reading.

While some break records for longest marathon for nail-painting, longest marathon for cooking, longest marathon for interviews and longest marathon for playing chess, among others, another Nigerian man, Samson Ajao, also known as Impeccable, has emerged to set two records never-seen in Nigerian history.

 

Samson officially emerged to break the Guinness Record Book for longest marathon of reading aloud. This alone is the first of its kind in the history of Nigeria, making him the trailblazer of two records. It is in no doubt, an historic attempt, as well, retiring the existing holder of the record.

 

The previous holder of the record, Rysbai Isakov from Bursa, Turkey, who read aloud for 124 hours on September 22nd-27th, 2022, will witness a new turn of event as Samson, somehow, has added almost an 100 hour to snatch the crown and perch on the read-a-thon throne.

 

Hailing from Osun State, Samson perches the tent of his marathon contest at the the capital city of his state, Osogbo.

 

In less than one hour, Samson will be hitting his target of 214 hours of longest marathon reading.

 

According to his team of supporters, Samson is a renowned Nigerian bibliophile, who has achieved a monumental feat by completing a marathon reading-aloud session lasting an astonishing 200 hours. “This remarkable accomplishment stands as a devotion to Impeccable’s unwavering dedication, unmatched passion for literature, and extraordinary perseverance.

Meanwhile, it is worthy to note that Nigerians recently clutch the pedal of contest to break world records through the platform of the Guinness World Record. Either breaking the record doing something unimaginable, breaking an existing record or setting a new one; Nigerians are already at the cutting edge of entering the world book every year and that’s interesting.

 

The wave started from Hilda Baci who broke the Guinness World Record of longest marathon cooking and then, extends to chess playing and now to reading aloud. Samson, the reader who tagged this contest, “the reading to glory” basks in the glory of this historic milestone and has showcased the power of literature to transcend boundaries.

 

Samson, in less than 30 minutes will complete its marathon journey of reading aloud.
