Not only is Lori Harvey making her debut as a model in the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated this year, but she is also doing so in swimwear that she has designed herself.
During the month of May, the founder of SKN by LH will be featured in the pages of the yearly magazine while wearing Yevrah Swim, the brand that she launched in collaboration with Revolve.

Within the context of the entire experience, Harvey expressed to SI Swim that “it was definitely a dream come true.” Manifested, surreal, and perfection are the three terms that I would use to describe it since it was literally a moment that I manifested. I would say that these are the words that I would use to describe it. The entire session was simply beautiful from top to bottom, and once I went on set, it was just magical. It was a very surreal time for me, and the entire shoot was just perfect.
“With her unwavering authenticity, Lori Harvey embodies the essence of empowerment,” remarked MJ Day, the editor in chief of SI Swim, in reference to Harvey during the interview.
During her debut session, Harvey, who is 27 years old and was photographed by Yu Tsai in Cancun, donned a suit by her own brand in addition to suits from Dolce & Gabbana, GCDS, and other designers. The first look that they filmed was Yevrah Swim, which she said as having “set the tone for the day” and made everything that much more wonderful as she proceeded on with the day and this significant professional milestone.
The magazine also reported that she wanted to wear her own swimwear line not only because she adores it and is pleased with what she has created, but also because she wanted to demonstrate that her brand is committed to promoting inclusivity, and she wanted to do so in collaboration with SI Swim, which is also an advocate for body positivity and inclusivity.
“I hope my message and what I stand for about inclusion and body positivity and just being your own woman and going after your dreams and manifestation and prayer [is evident],” she stated in reference to what she wants her fans, as well as anyone who encounters her SI Swim spread, to take away from it. “Everything that you see is real, and I hope that they experience and recognize that when they look at my photographs.”
Yevrah Swim was introduced by Harvey in August of last year; however, when she made the announcement on Instagram, she was immediately met with criticism from a commenter who pointed out that her brother, Jason Harvey, had a footwear business called Yevrah that he had introduced in 2016.
Her response to the criticism was unfazed.
The question that was posed in the comment was, “Doesn’t your brother own a footwear company called Yevrah?” Are you unable to come up with a name that is unique? The response that she gave was, “He used to, but not anymore.” I approached him with the request to resurrect and rebrand the name, and he granted me permission to do so.
