If he says Time Machine is possible, there is a possibility Time Machine is coming to the world out of the figment of scientific fiction.
Elon Musk has always been an incredible businessman and daredevil investor known for his key roles in space company SpaceX and automotive company Tesla, Inc. If he says he is planning to create a time machine, as he had cryptically posted on his X profile recently, no doubt, the world should be on the lookout for another mouthwatering invention, sniffing reality and dominating it.
Musk, perhaps, became more popular in 2022 when he acquired Twitter at the cost of $44 billion from Jack Dorsey, its founder and former CEO. The acquisition of Twitter has always been among the dreams of Musk and which he steadily worked towards from buying 1 per cent shares to 100 percent of it. Now, Musk turned the app to X Corp where free speech, including explicit contents are gladly welcome.
By this, one would say Musk has done a lot of unthinkable things. Aside from what he did and currently doing on X, Musk has also built a guest house on Mars and he probably travels there as he does to his backyard.
The influence of Musk beyond what is actually seen on the surface. This is because beyond Tesla Motors and X Corp, Musk has deep rooted founding investments in The Boring Company, xAI, Neuralink and OpenAI. Yet, it was a surprising thing of late as Musk threatened to ban all Apple devices on his companies if it partnered with OpenAI. Maybe, Musk wants to work against himself. But that could be strategic.
One of the recent posts of Musk on his ever busy X profile, which says “a teleportation time machine will be helpful,” is still worth deliberation. The statement signals the possibility of the billionaire’s interest in creating such a machine that travels through time.
Though, the billionaire named one of the wealthiest people in the world on Forbes’ List, has always been the lover sharing memes. This causes many to continually have second thoughts about his posts. Funnily enough, while people doubts, most times, Musk moved to materialize what would’ve probably been thought a meme.
In 2023, Musk reputation left many top media organisations ajar, thrusting them with false news when a meme was shared that Musk was creating a female robotic figure that can feel, think and handy in house as a wife for the billionaire.
Musk, who has always been one of the critics of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, has said AI poses danger to society. Ever since technology companies rolled out AI models with the ability to create images from text inputs, there have been scores of AI-generated images online. Many of these photos are of celebrities like Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Pope Francis, among others.
Some similar photos showing the Tesla CEO kissing a female humanoid robot have gone viral. A Twitter user Daniel Marven, has shared four photos of Musk in which the billionaire is seen kissing female robots. The tweet, in which these photos are shared, mentions that the images have been made with AI with the “personality and the characteristics of the female that he dreams of.” But the images are not real, rather they are AI generated.
Musk’s Tesla, last year, shared a prototype of a humanoid “Optimus” robot. The robot shares some AI software and sensors with its Tesla cars’ Autopilot driver assistance features.
Showing off the new footage of its Tesla Bots in what appears to be a production-ready chassis, as Times of India quoted, the video shows the robots walking and suggests that they can do other things, like pick up items and recognise objects.
Tesla Bots were impossible until Musk launched them. Many believed he is making a humanoid because he does surreal things. Time Machine has been one of the most contestable subjects of scientific inventions. While many believe it is impossible, demonic or will tamper the flow of the world, some proudly believe it is a way of preventing havoc and rewriting histories.
A time machine is still hypothetical until Musk mentioned it, giving a subtle authenticity to the possibility of creating one. Time Machine is seen as a device which brings about closed timelike curves—and thus enables time travel—where none would have existed otherwise. With time traveling through Time Machine, everyone can go back to the future or past, eliminate death and rewrite histories. If he says Time Machine is good, there is a possibility Time Machine is coming to the world out of the figment of scientific fiction.
