Since its establishment in 1955, the Guinness World Record Book (GWR) has been the leading archive of unconventional feats of people from around the world.
In 2023, GWR published its 68th-year publication in over 100 countries and 23 languages. It also maintains over 53,000 records in its database.
Many people around the world are driven by an unfathomable desire to break records that nobody has ever broken before. This has led to the creation of Guinness World Records (GWR), and while some records can be broken, others are simply too difficult to achieve. Here is a list of the six most amazing and scary GWRs that may never be broken:
World’s Stretchiest Skin
Garry Turner can stretch the skin of his stomach to a distended length due to a rare medical condition called Ehlers-Danlos S syndrome, a disorder of the connective tissues affecting the skin and internal organs. This record can never be broken
Heaviest Aircraft Pulled By An Individual
The record for the heaviest vehicle pulled over a 100 ft m weighed 57,243 kg and was set by Rev. Kevin Fast on 15 September 2008. No one has attempted to pull an aeroplane since then.
Most Bees On The Body
Ruan Liangming, a Chinese man currently holds the record for being covered by the heaviest mantle of bees. He was covered by roughly 637,000 of them, a combined weight of approximately 140 pounds. Trying to break this record is not a good idea.
The world’s longest fingernails
Shridhar Chillal of Pune, India, didn’t cut his nails for 66 years. Just before cutting them, they measured 29 feet, 10.1 inches in length.
Chillal only grew the nails on his left hand this long, allowing for full mobility with his right hand.
Most Broken Roof Tiles
The most roof tiles broken in one minute with bare hands is 923 and this was achieved by Lisa Dennis on the set of ‘Lo Show dei Record’ Italy on 11 July 2014. Don’t ever think of breaking this record.
Most Cockroaches are eaten in a Minute
Ken Edwards, from Glossop, ate 36 cockroaches in one minute. He did so on the set of The Big Breakfast in 2001. The retired rat catcher and part-time entertainer became a niche celebrity overnight after performing his bizarre stunt.
