The Grammy Awards, sometimes referred to as “music’s prom night,” are when the biggest musical musicians of the moment dress to turn heads. The red carpet at the Grammy Awards is the most traditional and conservative of the music awards, yet most years it’s still an exciting event. Remarkably, many of the entrants and nominees opted for sophistication this time around. Regretfully, a few of them fell short. Now let’s move!

Best Dressed
1. Victoria Monét in Versace
Wearing a bespoke Versace gown in bronze, the “Hollywood” singer impressed in front of her many nominees and winners. She looks absolutely stunning in the color, and the fit is perfect. The outfit went from sultry to endearing, though, because of daughter Hazel Monet Gaines’s similar dress. Hazel is the youngest Grammy nominee ever and was nominated with her mom. On the red carpet, what parent could resist a stylish “Mommy and Me” moment?
2. Coco Jones in Celia Kritharioti
The “ICU” singer and Best New Artist candidate looked stunning in this glistening eau de nil colored beaded gown. The broad plunging neckline and matching body jewelry give the gown a modern, hot feel, even though it seemed like she had to hold back on taking any deep breathes. This is the time and place to go for sexual glamour. The cocktail ring is a great way to bring the entire ensemble together.
3. Taylor Swift in Schiaparelli Couture
The current queen made her grand entrance in typical fashion. The significance of wearing white to the Grammy Awards is something we’ll let others debate, but we liked how it gave the ensemble a polished simplicity despite the opera gloves, the hip slit, and the five pounds of diamonds dangling from the model. Making a pretty simple design appear as though it was created especially for you is a classic diva maneuver that is reminiscent of Old Hollywood. Our somewhat modest opinions are that this is one of her greatest red carpet ensembles ever.
4. Fantasia Barrino-Taylor in Cong Tri
The Color Purple star showed up to perform and look badass. Although her striped gown and accompanying striped gloves might seem excessive for the red carpet, the styling is excellent. The hair is stylish, the makeup is stunning, the jewelry is really stunning (that lip clip is to die for), and the taupe and black color scheme gives the entire ensemble a truly classic elegance. Even though she didn’t receive a nomination for an Oscar this year, she is establishing herself as a high-profile figure.
5. Olivia Rodrigo in Vintage Versace
We’ll be honest: We’ve always found the “Vampire” singer and multiple nominee’s red carpet style to be a little annoying. It’s not like she makes poor decisions. Instead, she typically selects a lovely dress—like this one—and then goes with straightforward, understated style for it. We dismissed this at first as being just more of the same, but when you look closer, you can see a really subdued feeling of glamour. Her styling really makes the color and sequin placement pop, even though we’re not quite in love with them.
6. Dua Lipa in Courreges
The “Dance the Night” singer looked amazing on the red carpet, totally fitting her persona as a living disco ball. She’s the ideal wearer to make the gown appear effortless and sexy, even though it does tend to look a little heavy. The Tiffany jewelry items are absolutely stunning, but they would look much better with an ensemble that doesn’t draw too much attention to them.
Worst Dressed
7. Kylie Minogue in Dolce & Gabbana
The Best Pop Dance Recording winner and “Padam Padam singer” adhered to the song’s trademark by donning the iconic red that helped the music video become an internet sensation during the summer. Regrettably, Dolce & Gabbana created a ridiculously elaborate gown that makes for a horrible photo. Although we do enjoy a little corseting, there is serious tweaking that needs to be done to this design. That bust looks like a DIY project, which is sad. Diva, you were worthy of better.
8. Miley Cyrus in Maison Margiela
The singer of “Flowers,” who has received numerous nominations, wore the stylish mob wife hairstyle and makeup that’s been popular on TikTok, but she wore it with a dress that is perhaps not the best fit. Nevertheless, we are infatuated with this style. The Grammy Awards are tonight! Be audacious! Make strange decisions! We fear the ridiculous shoes look terrible with the outfit, despite the fact that the extremely elegant structure of the dress feels like something a screen queen from the silent film era would wear.
9. Heidi Klum
She is the ultimate queen of the terribly gorgeous yet slightly tacky “I still got it” dress, but we’re afraid not even this supermodel can pull off the weird skirt design. You should definitely slap a designer who attempts to convince you to hang your skirt around your neck. You should probably cut off communication if they try to get you to take off enough nude illusion fabric to strangle a figure skater.
10. Kat Graham in Stephane Rolland Couture
In the role of Stephane Rolland, Kat Graham What is it, you couturier? To tell you the truth, we won’t hold it against any celebrity for taking advantage of this opportunity to seize the spotlight and have their photo taken, but you remind us of an envelope that is attempting to be seductive. It’s just not effective at all. You really ought to have put this one back on the rack.
