Taylor Swift’s attorneys have allegedly threatened to prosecute a student who tracks celebrity private aircraft for disclosing her flight information online.
Jack Sweeney tracks the takeoffs and landings of affluent people’s planes using publicly available data, posting the results a day later.

According to Swift’s attorneys, the tracking amounted to “stalking”.
Elon Musk accused Mr. Sweeney of disclosing his “assassination coordinates” on Twitter in 2022, leading to the platform banning him.
Swift’s attorneys have demanded in writing for Mr. Sweeney, a 21-year-old University of Central Florida student, to quit revealing the whereabouts of her private jet.
The letter, dated December, describes the material as “a life-or-death matter” for Swift and states that it poses “an imminent threat to her safety and wellbeing.”
It lists several of the stalkers she has dealt with in her professional life and claims the information provides offenders with “a roadmap to carry out their plans”.
The letter’s contents have been reported by US media, but the Unconventional Magazine (UCM) has not independently reviewed it.
Mr. Sweeney declared “nowhere do I intend for harm” in a statement to the UCM.
“In my opinion, Swift has a few really great tunes. “I support openness and public information,” he declared.
He went on to say that after media outlets started examining Swift’s carbon footprint, he received the threatening letter.
According to digital marketing company Yard, Swift topped the list of celebrities with the biggest CO2 emissions from private jets in 2022.
Her jet emissions were almost 1,185 times greater than the average person’s annual emissions, according to the organization.
Outside of Swift’s house last month, a 33-year-old guy was taken into custody on suspicion of stalking.
Swift’s spokesperson informed US media outlets that the posts regarding her jet were partially to blame.
“We cannot comment on any ongoing police investigation but can confirm the timing of stalkers suggests a connection,” spokeswoman Tree Paine said.
“His posts tell you exactly when and where she would be.”
The UCM has reached out to Swift’s attorneys for a response.
Fans’ interest in Swift’s travel schedule has grown in recent months as a result of her widely reported concert tour.
One day after her concert in Tokyo, on Sunday, she is scheduled to go to Las Vegas to watch her boyfriend play in the NFL Super Bowl.
No information on the passengers aboard the planes or their destinations after landing is provided in Mr. Sweeney’s post.
In addition, he has monitored the private jet travel of other affluent Americans, such as Jeff Bezos, the creator of Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, and Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft.
