Portable Drags Rapper for Using ‘Zazu’ in His New Song

Popular musician Portable, who is best known for the song “Zazu,” vented his anger at Vector’s actions on social media.

A recent controversy has erupted in the Nigerian music industry as popular street singer Portable and veteran rapper Vector Tha Viper have been engaged in a heated exchange on social media.

The issue began when Vector mentioned Portable in his new song, which Portable took as a slight and responded by calling out Vector for disrespecting him.

Vector’s lyrics in the song, which Portable took issue with, included the line “Lion king no be Zazu.”

Portable interpreted this as a diss and responded by saying that Vector is just a rapper looking for a chorus to blow, implying that he should have come to him for a feature instead of using his name without permission.

Nevertheless, the lyrics made fans speculate that vector was not actually referring to Portable but a red-billed hornbill and the majordomo to Mufasa and later Simba in the Lion King franchise named Zazu

He is known for his loyalty, bravery, and administrative skills, often serving as a scout and advisor to the kings of the Pride Lands.

Popular musician Portable, who is best known for the song “Zazu,” vented his anger at Vector’s actions on social media.

In a series of tweets, Portable claimed that Vector was trying to drag him down by mentioning him in his song without permission.

Portable also emphasized that he is bigger than Vector as an artist, stating that Vector cannot control the crowds he does and that he never blew up to him as a musician.

Additionally, Portable emphasized that rather than using his name without permission, Vector ought to have approached him for a chorus.

He also stressed that he does not regard anyone as a pacesetter in the music industry, adding that it was only God who paved the way for him.

Portable also mentioned that he sees Vector as a mentor and superstar but ended up dissing him in his new song.

The exchange has sparked a lot of reactions on social media, with some people supporting Portable’s stance and others defending Vector’s actions. Some have even questioned Portable’s understanding of the lyrics in Vector’s song, suggesting that he may not have been the intended target of the diss.
