On Wednesday, the cast of “Bridgerton” provided viewers with a sneak look of the third season of the show, offering a glimpse of the most recent developing romance in the hit Netflix drama that has won admirers all over the world.

The new season of the drama, which takes place in London during the Regency period, features the characters and longstanding friends Penelope Featherington, represented by Nicola Coughlan, and Colin Bridgerton, portrayed by Luke Newton. Both of these characters take center stage once again.
The historical drama is based on the books written by Julia Quinn, each of which focuses on a different member of the Bridgerton family residing in the past. Fans of the television show are already familiar with Colin and Penelope, thus the third season of the show does not focus on the third book in Quinn’s trilogy about Benedict Bridgerton. Instead, the show focuses on the characters of Colin and Penelope.
During a question-and-answer session in London, when a scene from the new season was shown, executive producer Shonda Rhimes announced, “This time we know the people falling in love, and we’re already rooting for them.”
It was in the year 2020 when “Bridgerton” was released, and it quickly became a worldwide success. The film received plaudits for its eclectic ensemble.
Adjoa Andoh and Golda Rosheuvel, two of the show’s most favorite actors, will be reprising their roles as Lady Danbury and Queen Charlotte, respectively, in the upcoming season. The latter character has been the subject of her very own spin-off origins story ever since the second season of “Bridgerton” was broadcast.
“It’s a great support for the characters now going forwards, the fans have caught up,” Rosheuvel wrote in response to a question from Reuters regarding the spin-off.
“Bridgerton” season 3, which will consist of eight episodes, will be released in two parts, with the first part being released on May 16 and the second part being released on June 13.
