Victoria Monét, a singer-songwriter and producer, has risen 3-1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart (dated February 17), making her the official top emerging performer in the United States.
After winning three awards at the 66th annual Grammy Awards on February 4—best R&B album, best engineered album, non-classical, and best new artist—Monét is back on top thanks to her gains. The latter two were for her album Jaguar II.

From February 2–8, Jaguar II sold 7,000 equivalent album units in the United States, a 55% increase, according to Luminate. In September, the album peaked at No. 6 on Top R&B Albums and No. 60 on the Billboard 200.
“On My Mama,” Monét’s breakthrough solo single, keeps getting better. It climbs from No. 50 to No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning her first top 40 hit as a recording artist. It has received 36.8 million impressions from radio listeners (up 2%), 5.7 million streams in the United States (up 24%), and 2,000 download sales (up 124%).
Notably, Ariana Grande has recorded seven of the songwriter’s nine top 40 Hot 100 hits, including the No. 1 songs “Thank U, Next” and “7 Rings” in 2018–19. Additionally, in 2020, her co-write “Ice Cream,” featuring Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK, peaked at No. 13.
In addition, “On My Mama” is moving up and down a number of radio charts: it remains at its peak of No. 2 on Adult R&B Airplay, moves up to No. 3 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (having been at No. 1) and Rhythmic Airplay (having been at No. 2), remains at No. 6 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (having been at No. 1) for two weeks, and climbs to positions 27–24 on Pop Airplay.
New K-pop group TWS: 24/7:WITH:US makes their debut at No. 2 on Emerging Artists, thanks to its new EP Sparkling Blue. On World Albums (5,000 units), the set starts at No. 6, while on Top Album Sales (4,000 albums sold), it starts at No. 16. The quartet, who are affiliated to Pledis Entertainment, debuted on the Billboard charts with the EP. Dohoon, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin, Shinyu, and Youngjae are the members of the act.
Plus, the group’s first full-length album, Prelude to Ecstacy, helps The Last Dinner Party debut at No. 6 on Emerging Artists. It debuted at No. 2 on Heatseekers Albums (7,000 units) and No. 31 on Top Album Sales (3,000 sales), both through Island/Republic Records. The band is also enjoying success with “Nothing Matters,” their breakout track that peaked at No. 5 on Adult Alternative Airplay in September and is currently sitting at No. 7 on the most recent list. “Sinner,” the follow-up single, climbs 17–13 in the current rankings.
Using the same formula as the all-encompassing Billboard Artist 100, which tracks artist activity across several Billboard charts, including the Hot 100 and Billboard 200, the Emerging Artists chart ranks the most popular developing artists of the week. (The Artist 100 is a weekly list of the most popular acts overall.) But musicians who have placed in the top 25 on the Hot 100 or Billboard 200 are not included in the Emerging musicians chart. Neither are performers who have placed in the top 10 on Billboard’s “Hot” song genre charts or on the consumption-based “Top” album genre rankings.
