Usher has said that he was on the verge of forming a supergroup with Jay-Z, Pharrell, and Diddy prior to their collaboration.
On Wednesday, January 31, the singer, who is 45 years old, made an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. During his appearance, he disclosed the information of the amazing group that was never formed.

The statement that he made was that Jay-Z, Pharrell, Diddy, and I were intended to be a group. It’s crazy, that’s for sure. My response was not “No.” My response was not “Yeah.” I get a feeling that we have finally caught up. We all seemed to get caught up in the moment, in my opinion.
During that time, we were discussing it and holding meetings in private to discuss it. We were discussing music, what we were going to do with it, and how we were going to make money off of it. What’s more, we were so preoccupied with other things that it never even occurred to us.
Along with declining the opportunity to star in the film Dreamgirls in 2006, Usher stated that this is one of the most significant regrets he has made in his career: The one that I really wish had taken place is the one that I just mentioned.
At this time, Usher is quite busy because he is scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show, which will take place on February 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. With the intention of capitalizing on the momentum gained from the Sin City SB performance, the hitmaker of “Yeah” is also working on a new album that will be released on February 9th, which is the day before the big game. The album is named Coming Home.
As Usher’s ninth studio album, Coming Home is a star-studded event that features a number of well-known artists. Over the course of the twenty tracks, he has enlisted the participation of Latto, Burna Boy, 21 Savage, The-Dream, H.E.R., Summer Walker, and Jung Kook from BTS to become his traveling companions.
