1. Tyla 

Tyla is a South African singer and songwriter who made a significant impact at the 2024 Met Gala with her innovative and daring fashion choice. For the event, Tyla collaborated with Balmain to create a one-of-a-kind gown made entirely of sand, sculpted to fit her body using an impressive appliqué method. 

The strapless dress, designed by Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing, featured sand and micro crystal studs pressed directly onto fabric shaped by a plaster cast of Tyla’s own bodice. 

This unique and fragile gown required Tyla to be lifted up the stairs by two people due to its delicate nature, showcasing her commitment to embracing the theme of “The Garden of Time” in a truly artistic and unconventional way.

 

2. Ayo Edebiri

Ayo Edebiri is an Nigerian-American actress and comedian who made her debut appearance at the 2024 Met Gala.

For the event, Ayo Edebiri wore a custom Loewe dress designed by Jonathan Anderson. The dress was a stunning floral guipure lace gown with 3D appliqué flowers, creating the illusion of blooming blossoms. The halter-neck dress had a backless design and was hand-painted and hand-embroidered, showcasing the incredible craftsmanship that went into creating Edebiri’s Met Gala look.

At the Met Gala 2024, Nnamdi Asomugha was photographed on the red carpet, showcasing his stylish attire which included a black tuxedo with a diamond flower lapel pin for the event. Kerry Washington, his wife, also attended the gala with him, adding to the couple’s presence at the prestigious event.

She accessorized the ensemble with an Old Hollywood-inspired updo hairstyle, classic winged eyeliner, elongated lashes, and a glossy lip. Her long, stiletto-shaped nails were painted white with embellishments at the tips, adding a touch of allure to her overall appearance.

Wisdom Kaye is a 19-year-old Nigerian-American fashion influencer from Houston, Texas, known for his stylish and creative outfits on TikTok. He made his debut at the 2024 Met Gala wearing a bold red trench coat with burnt accents created by designer Robert Wun. This eye-catching ensemble turned heads on the red carpet, showcasing his unique and stylish fashion sense.

 

7). Chioma Nnadi

Chioma Nnadi is a Nigerian and Swiss-German editor of British Vogue. For the 2024 Met Gala, she wore a bespoke James Garland ‘J6’ outfit, which was custom-made for her.
